| Overview of the System
and its Capabilities |

Our Web-based HR systems are accessible from a Web page called Human Resources Central (HR Central). Once you log in to HR Central (using your Onyen), you may see a list of available systems and functions which, depending on your job responsibilities, may include one or more of the following:
- HR Inbox: Screen that shows HR-related actions that are in approval routing, have been paused or retracted, or are awaiting some other type of action. This screen also displays notifications that have been sent to you.
- EPAWeb: System used to process personnel actions for employees who are exempt from the State Personnel Act (EPA).
- SPA RecruitmentWeb: System used for electronic routing of job applicant information to those involved in the hiring process, and for administration of recruitment requisitions. This system covers positions that are subject to the State Personnel Act (SPA).
- User Options: Tool used to change inbox settings and view your roles within EPAWeb and SPA RecruitmentWeb.
NOTE: For some users, logging in will bring you directly to the SPA RecruitmentWeb page. This means your access is set up for SPA RecruitmentWeb only, and you do not have access to the other systems and tools in the list above.
This online training focuses on the SPA RecruitmentWeb System. This training will demonstrate how to perform the various functions associated with each user role, which may include reviewing applications, participating in hiring decisions, approving hiring decisions, and/or managing the hiring process. For some user roles, this training also demonstrates how to use the HR Inbox and User Options. |
