Welcome to the online training for the SPA RecruitmentWeb System. SPA RecruitmentWeb is a component of HR Central, the Web site that houses all of UNC-Chapel Hill’s online HR systems.

This training is designed for all individuals who will use SPA RecruitmentWeb. Users include those who participate in hiring decisions, approve hiring decisions, or manage the hiring process for SPA positions. Others may have access to review applications for positions in their department, even if they do not participate directly in the hiring process. Different users will have access to different system functions, depending on their responsibilities. Therefore, some parts of this training will be tailored to specific users.

Topics covered in this training include:

• Logging into HR Central.
• Using SPA RecruitmentWeb.
• Using the HR Inbox and other tools related to SPA RecruitmentWeb (certain users only).

This online training is based on viewing step-by-step tutorials. These tutorials guide users through the system components by using sound (so make sure you have speakers turned on, or headphones plugged in) and Flash movie files. Note: Some Flash files will take a few moments to load, depending on your connection speed. If you’re unsure if your browser supports Flash, please visit the following page to test your computer’s capabilities and download the Flash plug-in if necessary.

This training works at various resolutions, but for optimal viewing, we recommend setting your computer's screen resolution to 1280 x 1024. For Windows users, this is accomplished by clicking on Start (button) > Control Panel > Display > Settings (tab). Note: At a lower resolution (e.g., 1024 x 768) you will need to scroll to see portions of the onscreen Flash demonstrations.
